INDIAN
RECIPE OF THE DAY (December 13th 2006):
Tomato Curry

Ingredients: 500g, ripe tomatoes, 2 onions, 1 large
green chili, 4 tbsp. oil, 1 1/2 cups milk, 1 tsp. garlic
paste, 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder, 2 tbsp. chopped coriander
leaves, salt to taste
Method: 1. Take a pan, head oil and chopped
onions. 2. Fry onions till light brown. 3. Add garlic
paste, chopped chili, turmeric powder. Fry for 2 minutes.
4. Add sliced tomatoes and cook in medium heat. Mash
it well and cook for 15 minutes. 5. Add milk and stir
well. Cook till sauce thickens. 6. Sprinkle coriander
leaves just before serving. replace milk with fresh
cream for a richer Indian curry. This gravy can be had
with plain rice or bread.
